Direct Marketing Policy

AJEAT may undertake direct marketing to communicate legitimate journal information or invite manuscript submissions from researchers whose work is relevant to the journal’s Aims and Scope. Such activities should be appropriate, targeted, accurate, and non-intrusive.

1. Scope of Direct Marketing

Direct marketing may include calls for papers, special-issue announcements, journal updates, manuscript invitations, and other communications about AJEAT publishing activities. Relevant special-content information is published on the Special Issues and Article Collections page.

2. Accuracy and Transparency

Marketing communications must accurately describe AJEAT, its publisher, aims and scope, peer-review model, publication schedule, access model, fees, policies, and current abstracting or indexing status. Communications must not contain misleading, exaggerated, or unverifiable claims about the journal or its services.

3. No Guarantees or Improper Claims

Direct marketing must not guarantee manuscript acceptance, favourable peer review, unusually rapid publication, citation impact, future indexing, or any other outcome that depends on independent editorial assessment or external evaluation. The editorial pathway is described in the Peer Review Process.

4. Targeting and Frequency

Communications should be directed to researchers or professional audiences for whom the journal’s subject coverage is reasonably relevant. Marketing should be proportionate, not repetitive or intrusive, and should not pressure recipients to submit manuscripts or purchase services.

5. Editorial Independence

Direct marketing is kept separate from editorial decision-making. Whether an author receives, responds to, or ignores a marketing communication has no influence on editorial assessment, peer review, acceptance, rejection, or publication. Financial and promotional independence is also described in the Revenue Sources Statement.

6. Use of Contact Information

Contact information used for journal communications is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and used only for legitimate journal and publishing purposes. Recipients may contact the publisher about inappropriate or unwanted communications.

Opt-Out and Complaints

Recipients may ask AJEAT to stop sending non-essential direct marketing communications. Requests or complaints may be sent to the editorial office. Operational messages concerning an active submission, review, editorial appointment, payment, or publication are not treated as marketing communications.
