The Asian Journal of Engineering and Applied Technology (AJEAT), published by the Centre for Research and Innovation (CRI), follows a Gold Open Access model. This policy explains copyright ownership, the Creative Commons licence applied to published articles, author reuse and repository rights, third-party permissions, and the copyright statement used for AJEAT articles.

Upon acceptance, the author(s), or another lawful copyright holder where applicable, must complete the AJEAT Copyright Form. Under the stated agreement, copyright in the published Version of Record transfers to CRI upon publication.

After transfer, CRI may publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, preserve, index, disseminate, license, and protect the published Version of Record in accordance with AJEAT policies.

2. Open Access Licence

All AJEAT articles are made immediately and permanently available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International licence (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). Users may copy and redistribute the unchanged article for non-commercial purposes with appropriate attribution and acknowledgement of the original AJEAT publication.

Commercial use and distribution of modified, adapted, translated, remixed, transformed, or derivative versions require additional permission from the copyright holder. See the Open Access Policy for the journal’s broader access and repository framework.

For articles published in 2026, the stated notice is: © 2026 Centre for Research and Innovation (CRI). This is an open access article under the CC BY-NC-ND licence. For subsequent articles, the year should correspond to the actual publication year.

4. Author Rights and Scholarly Reuse

Authors may deposit the submitted manuscript, accepted manuscript, and published Version of Record in appropriate institutional, subject, or scholarly repositories without an embargo, subject to the Version of Record conditions below.

  • The published article must remain unchanged.
  • The complete citation and DOI or permanent link must be supplied.
  • The CRI copyright notice must be retained.
  • The CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 licence must be clearly identified.
  • AJEAT and CRI must be acknowledged as the original journal and publisher.

5. Version of Record Sharing

Authors and readers may share the published Version of Record for non-commercial purposes under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0. The Version of Record must not be altered, adapted, translated, or otherwise modified for redistribution unless additional permission is obtained.

6. Third-Party Material and Permissions

Authors are responsible for ensuring that manuscript content is original or used with the necessary permission. Copyrighted figures, tables, photographs, substantial extracts, or other third-party material must have the required permission and appropriate acknowledgement before publication.

Third-party content excluded from the article’s Creative Commons licence should carry an appropriate credit line or rights statement. Users must obtain permission from the relevant copyright holder when reuse is not covered by the licence or another lawful exception.

7. Author Declaration

The corresponding author, when authorised by all co-authors, confirms originality, co-author approval, required permissions, relevant disclosures, ethical compliance, and authority to enter into the copyright agreement where applicable. 8. Digital Preservation and Archiving

AJEAT supports long-term access through its digital preservation arrangements, including the PKP Preservation Network. Copyright and licence information remains associated with preserved and archived copies of the Version of Record.

9. Relationship with Other AJEAT Policies

This policy operates together with the Open Access Policy, Author Guidelines, Publication Ethics & Publication Malpractice Statement, and Copyright Form.
